Well, there have been a a couple people in my life whom I have lived deeply and lost in a great battle for life with much suffering. Sometimes, the end comes before we can reconcile with both our heart and our minds.
Years ago, when I lost a dear friend to A very long and ugly death....which he fought against bravely...and lost even small battles so profoundly.... I had no worries about God's compassion- I worried how my friend might respond to God after having endured such suffering.
A friend of yours Fr Denis wrote to me and said: "now he has seen the face of love and how will he turn away". How I love that image...
So for some the time of purification maybe short...after death. Perhaps, they have had this time of purification on earth.
There are some catholic theologians who understand that this who purification process happens before death...based on Rev 21 mostly I think. I don't know.
I guess I have prayed for the dead...as I have prayed for the living.....
Catherinenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6668594987436792920.post-9861863106924421692016-05-11T22:02:55.381-04:002016-05-11T22:02:55.381-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03384522235720216959noreply@blogger.com
