I think it is really important not to misinform people about hormonal contraceptives.
1. It is well established in the literature that oral contraceptive tablets reduce endometrial and ovarian cancer risk.
The liertaure about the pill and breast cancer is weak. Best studies show a weak link between triphasics - but it is not strong evidence.
If cancers are estrogen or progesterone receptor positive- these cancers will be promoted even by naturally occurring hormones
3. ? the pill promoting STIs? I do not know of any medical evidence that supports this?
4. Contraceptives making it harder to get pregnant? Leave the Nuva Ring out four hours and you are fertile again. Miss a low dose estrogen pill or take it late and you ovulate. There are some like implanon or depo shots that take a while to re-establish regular menses. If you are using contraception to space children this would not be a good choice.
Generally, it is a good idea to supplement with frolic acid and use an alternative form of contraception for three months after stopping hormones before seeking to conceive.
None of this is outside of standard practice.
If you do not use hormonal contraceptive for religious reasons, I respect that.
I just think it is important to tell the truth about them. Or at least not distort the truth in representing your position.
god bless youAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6668594987436792920.post-55518472055559672412014-05-12T14:28:35.313-04:002014-05-12T14:28:35.313-04:00Not to mention the psychological harm done to the ...Not to mention the psychological harm done to the human soul when contraception is used to prevent pregnancy, and ends up in abortion when pregnancy occurs. The woman who allows herself to "hook up" finds herself in an abandoned state where she is not committed to a permanent relationship in marriage, however, because God has made woman to attach herself to the man she has intercourse with, she is now attached to one or several men who don't commit to loving and taking care of her. And in taking the dangerous drugs which alter her chemistry, men are naturally less attracted to her. Women need to know the truth and men do too. They all need to be responsible and use this gift the way God intended. Otherwise, they invite all sorts of repercussions upon themselves. Big Pharma is, literally, making a killing off the widespread promiscuity of North Americans, who have no idea of the the wisdom and compassion of the Church's teachings on procreation.

The perils of using contraception, aside from the moral and spiritual ones, include alarming rates of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), inability to conceive when a woman wants to have a child, and various types of cancer caused by a surfeit of estrogen, which is a trigger for cancer, from artificial means of birth-control.

Kyrie eleison.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
